Os postais têm sido comparados às sms's ou ao até ao recente fenómeno Twitter pela sua brevidade e pela frequência com que eram enviados na sua idade de ouro (1900-1920). O designer londrino Daniel Eatock  ilustra o meio de comunicação e objecto de correspondência, filho da era da reproductibilidade técnica e dos transportes, com imagens da era da Web 2.0.

Postcards have been compared to text messages or even to Twitter recent phenomenon because of its shortness and because of the frequency of their sending during their golden age (1900-1920). The Londoner designer Daniel Eatock illustrates the medium and correspondence object, appeared at the age of the mechanical reproducibility and of the transport, with pictures from the Web 2.0 age.
